When someone has already scheduled an appointment with a User for a specific date and time, or when a User has added events to their calendar to block off dates, they should not appear as available on those dates or during that time period when a customer or prospect tries to schedule an appointment via the Booking Link.
If appointments continue to be assigned to a User who is not meant to be available, the event in the User's calendar may have been set to FREE rather than BUSY. This sends the signal that the User is free or open during those times, and AppointmentCore will, in turn, continue to show people that the User is available even when they’re not.
You can verify if this is the case by following the steps below:
Navigate to the left panel of your My Dashboard screen and select Calendar. |
|
From the Calendars page, find the appointment or event you would like to check and click on it. In the pop-up box that appears, you’ll see if the event is set to Free or Busy under Free/Busy. |
Below are the steps to change the event state from Free to Busy on Google Calendar:
Before you start:
- Log in and access your Google Calendar.
From the main calendar page of Google Calendar, look for the event or appointment with the Free status and click on it. Click the pencil icon in the popup box that appears to make changes. On the next screen, click the dropdown arrow next to the suitcase icon where it says Free. Select Busy from the dropdown list to change the status. Click the Save button at the top to apply the changes. |
|
Back in the main calendar page of Google Calendar, look for the appointment and click on it. You should now see the status set to Busy. |
